Women’s Health Week 2026: Do It Anyway
Life is busy. Your to-do list is long. And somewhere between work, family, and everything else, your own health often ends up at the bottom of the pile. Sound familiar?
That’s exactly what Women’s Health Week 2026 is speaking to. Running from 7 to 11 September, this year’s theme is do it anyway, a simple, honest reminder that you don’t have to have it all figured out to take a step in the right direction. Small steps count. Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time.
Each day of the week shines a light on a different area of health. Here’s how we’re thinking about it at WholeLife.
Day 1: To Fuel
What you eat shapes how you feel, your energy, your mood, your focus. But nutrition advice can feel overwhelming, and the pressure to eat perfectly can make the whole thing feel impossible before you’ve even started.
The do it anyway approach to fuelling yourself isn’t about overhauling your diet. It’s about adding one thing that serves you. An extra handful of vegetables. A quality protein at lunch. Checking your iron and vitamin B levels with your doctor. Small, consistent choices that add up over time.
Our team of pharmacists, nutritionists and naturopaths at WholeLife can help you cut through the noise and find an approach that works for your life.
Day 2: To Move
Movement doesn’t have to be a 6am gym session to count. A walk at lunch, stretching before bed, taking the stairs, it all matters. The research consistently shows that regular, moderate movement has significant benefits for women’s health across every life stage, from managing PMS and supporting bone density to improving sleep and mood.
If you’ve been putting off getting back into a routine, this week is as good a time as any. Do it anyway.
Day 3: To Rest
Sleep is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health, and one of the hardest to get right. Daily stress, hormonal shifts, perimenopause, small children, shift work, there are so many reasons a good night’s sleep can feel out of reach.
If rest is something you’re struggling with, it’s worth taking seriously. Have a private discussion with our pharmacists and health practitioners to explore the right option for you, from appropriate medications to supplemental support, such as magnesium or herbal options where appropriate.
Day 4: To Breathe
Mental wellbeing is health. Full stop. Day 4 of Women’s Health Week is dedicated to the mental and emotional side of things, the stress, the overwhelm, the anxiety that so many women carry quietly.
If you’ve been meaning to address how you’re feeling but keep putting it off, do it anyway. Talk to someone. Book that appointment. Come in and have a chat with our naturopaths and pharmacists about what might help. There’s no right time, only now.
Day 5: To Connect
The last day of Women’s Health Week is a reminder that health isn’t just physical. Connection, with friends, community, the people around you, plays a genuine role in how we feel. A message to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. A coffee with a neighbour. Turning up to that group you’ve been meaning to try. Small acts of connection matter more than we often give them credit for.
