Exfoliate first. Using a tanning mitt or bare hand, place a small amount of self-tanning lotion onto the skin and glide the tan evenly across the body. Wear loose clothing as it dries and soaks into the skin. Wash off 1-5 hours (the longer you leave it on, the darker the tan will be)
