Description
Stratamed is a self-drying gel that forms a full contact wound dressing to speed up the healing process and minimise abnormal scaring. Stratamed is the first film-forming silicone wound dressing for use on open wounds and compromised skin. Stratamed improves the visible outcome of treatment and provides symptomatic relief.
How to Use
Ensure that the affected skin or wound is clean. Pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the wound as possible prior to gel application. Stratamed should be applied once daily or twice daily to exposed areas. Once dry Stratamed can be covered with sunscreem, cosmetics, pressure garments or casts. On damaged skin or wounds requiring a seconday dressing – Apply a very thin layer of Stratamed then cover with the seconday dressing. Drying is not necessary. Stratamed should be reapplied when changing the secondary dressing or checking wound progress or as advised by your physician. For best results Stratamed should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/7 days a week). If Stratamed has been removed by washing it should be reapplied.
