Vitamin D is essential for effective calcium absorption, required for healthy bones and teeth. A diet deficient in calcium can lead to osteoporosis later in life. Vitamin D helps maintain muscle strength, which may reduce the incidence of falls in the elderly. Ostelin contains Vitamin D3 which is the form that is produced naturally in the body.
Each tablet contains 12.5mcg cholecalciferol (equivalent to Vitamin D3 500 IU), 1.5g calcium carbonate (equivalent to elemental calcium 600mg).
